Caitlin Cloud, a second year MA-SLP student, has been awarded the CSHA Elizabeth G. Jancosek graduate student scholarship for this year. This is a prestigious award and we are proud of her accomplishment.
Caitlin has also been appointed to be the Colorado SLP Student State Officer for the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA). Caitlin applied to be a Student State Officer (SSO) with National NSSLHA because she wanted to expand her leadership skills, engage more directly in professional advocacy, and make a positive contribution to other CSD students.
As an SSO, she serves as a liaison between the NSSLHA National Office and university chapters in Colorado. She will work closely with other student leaders in the western region to disseminate information to chapters, provide guidance related to National NSSLHA membership and programs, and collaborate with chapters as they organize events for the 2020-2021 academic year. In addition to her regular duties, She is also currently working with chapter presidents from CU, UNC, and MSU Denver to coordinate a joint virtual/social-distanced event as well.
“It has been a fantastic leadership experience thus far and I look forward to seeing what our Colorado NSSLHA chapters accomplish this year!”
Congratulations to Caitlin for her service and hard work!
