The Materials Instrumentation and Multimodal Imaging Core (MIMIC) Facility provides specialized services for assessment of material properties, chemistry and structure across multiple length scales with an emphasis on assessment of biological tissues, biomaterials, and biologically inspired systems. ​

Our facility includes resources for:​

  • High resolution X-Ray microscopy and nano/micro-computed tomography​
  • Nanomechanical testing with nanoindentation​
  • Raman spectrometry analysis to assess chemistry of material surfaces​
