This opportunity could greatly enhance my college experience by providing me with early research experience and hands-on exposure to a topic I am interested in. As a pre-med student intending to go to med school, I expect to be doing much research in the future, and I believe working with an experienced mentor would give me a great example of how research is conducted on a professional level. Furthermore, it would provide an opportunity to hone my skills in organization, analyzation, academic writing, and more, while allowing exploration of which topics I wish to pursue. Additionally, I hope to connect with others around me who have similar interests and ambitions, and this would be a great way to do that.
