- STUDENT
After having the opportunity to participate in STUDIO lab this Spring, I am confident that STUDIO has had a massive impact on my college experience and professional growth. The type of research experience STUDIO provides allows for unique opportunities to cultivate and practice data analysis, effective teamwork, and analytical thinking abilities in my future education and professional career. Additionally, STUDIO allows me the opportunity to explore and investigate different political and social issues that I am passionate about, and otherwise, I would not have the opportunity to do so. Regarding my prior experience, I am proud to have worked alongside Dr. Baird and her team on her research project that quantifies SCOTUS justices’ ideology. This experience has equipped me with fundamental research methodologies and analytical skills to continue with my research. Alongside this, I have been involved the the “Buffs for Reproductive Rights” club on campus. Through my involvement in this club, I have developed a deep commitment to the issue of women’s reproductive rights in this country, raising awareness, and advocating for my peers on campus. Given my prior research experience coupled with my advocacy work with the Buffs for Reproductive Rights club, I am hopeful that I can make a valuable contribution to Studio Lab next fall. Also, my double major in Political Science and Finance, I believe has cultivated me with a fresh and unique perspective that will enhance the research program.
I'm interested in abortion/women's reproductive rights, political psychology, and voting patterns.
