About Us
We believe we all share responsibility for creating conditions of care, trust, and collaboration, and for showing up with humility as learners. We also believe research can be a powerful driver of systems change, especially when it is co-designed with practitioners who bring local context, lived experience, and the specific challenges they face.
What is CRER?
The Center for Reimagining Education Research (CRER) connects education research, policy, and practice to support the learning and collaboration needed for true K-12 systems change. The CRER team is dedicated to understanding research development and use in education, and co-designing tools and experiences that work across the research-policy-practice ecosystem.
Why do we do this work?
We do this work because we care about making schools better for kids and for the adults who show up for them every day. The partners we work with care too; they want their work to help solve real-world problems and improve practice in districts, schools, and classrooms across the country. How do we work?
We work in two ways: as curious researchers dedicated to understanding how research is developed and used in education, and as active designers of tools and experiences that integrate research, policy, and practice.
