A Collective Effort for Systems Transformation
OUR VISION AND GOALS
This initiative brings together educators, researchers, policymakers, funders, and community leaders to reimagine the R&D infrastructure supporting P–20 education. We aim to build a more connected, responsive, and practice-centered ecosystem that supports real systems transformation.
Supported by the Spencer Foundation (March 2026–May 2027), we aim to:
- Build community across boundaries: Connect people and organizations across research, practice, policy, and community for shared learning.
- Co-design a shared vision: Develop guiding values, tools, and ideas for a more responsive R&D infrastructure.
- Lay the groundwork for action: Identify pathways for partnerships, advocacy, and implementation at local, state, regional, and federal levels.

What: Co-hosted with the Evidence Project of the Pew Charitable Trusts, an international, cross-sector community. We will engage perspectives from other evidence and R&D ecosystems to the collective reimagining of education R&D in the United States. Participants will experience the conversation routine, contribute insights about how roles and systems might shift around shared goals, and consider how the routine could be adapted.
