Who May Apply?

The Puksta Scholars program is open to incoming freshman, current freshman, and current sophomores and University of Colorado Boulder. Current juniors and seniors are ineligible to apply. Students who are transfering to CU are eligible (freshman, sophomore, and junior transfers). The scholarship is open to undergraduates from all majors and minors. How to Apply?

The Puksta Scholars application is accessible via CU Boulder's scholarship application portal.
For incoming freshman and transfer students, visit your admissions application status page and request access to the scholarship application portal. It may take 5-7 business days to receive access. Make sure to request access! You can apply for scholarships even if you have not been admitted to CU. Incoming students instructions.

What is the Admission Process?

The application asks students to write four essays describing their motivations to work for the public good, proposed Puksta project, experiences working in diverse situations, and relation between their project and their academic and career goals. The review committee will select finalist who will be interviewed (via zoom). Applicants are notified in April for the upcomming cohort.
