Lafayette's 11th annual "Seeds of Justice" celebration in honor of civil rights leader Cesar Chavez took place Friday at the Bob L. Burger Recreation Center.

Planned by the Lafayette Youth Advisory Committee, with support from the University of Colorado's Public Achievement program, the event was moved inside because of weather.

In addition to celebrating the contributions of Cesar Chavez and other civil rights leaders, the event was designed to provide a platform for student leaders to generate awareness about the prevalence of social issues including animal abuse, bullying, domestic violence, teen depression and suicide, according to a news release.  See More
