Centaurus High junior Maxine Brown is part of a group working to start a food and supply bank at her school as a civic engagement project.
"When we became aware of how much poverty there is in our community and our school, it really hit home," she said. "The food bank would be in an area that no one would know about and even we wouldn't know who the students are. We just want them to get what they need." See more
