Born in Esfahan, Iran to US-born parents living and working abroad as English teachers, Erika Delzell first came to the States as a young child after her family was forced to flee the Iranian revolution. Raised in the Quaker faith and discovering creative expression at a young age, she is a lifelong traveler, artist, and activist, in search of what she calls, “a beauty that can heal the world." Erika earned her BFA in Studio Art, with concentrations in painting, photography, and ceramics, from the School Of the Art Institute of Chicago, and in 2006 was awarded an MA in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Art Therapy from Naropa University in Boulder. Erika lived in North Denver since 2007 and has been a proud Globeville resident since 2014, where she maintained a working studio and business while raising her elementary-aged son and two fur babies.
