Abril Gallegos

Abril Gallegos was a first-generation student at the University of Colorado Denver. She was in the pre-med track, majoring in biochemistry in hopes of becoming a trauma surgeon helping underrepresented communities. On campus, she was the President of the Latinx Student Alliance, where she provided Latinx students with the support needed to continue their education. She volunteered once a week at Denver Health by helping medical staff provide their best care to patients, and enjoyed watching anime and paddle boarding.
