Logan is an avid photographer and videographer from Castle Rock, Colorado, who enjoys shooting various works from automotive and portrait to landscape and travel. He is constantly pushing his skills and evolving through the long journey toward reaching his ultimate goal of becoming a full-time filmmaker. He’s always loved to create, but it wasn’t until early high school that he undoubtedly fell in love with the art of the camera. Influenced by the grandeur of Roger Deakins and Denis Villeneuve, he aspires to reach a similar level of mastery someday.
TAPES is my 3rd narrative short film and a big departure from my previous ones. It's been a couple of years, so I wanted to turn it up a level for this project. The number one improvement I wanted to make was to develop a stronger narrative with more characters, locations, and unpredictable turning points. This was a big challenge as the script I wrote required me to shoot in difficult-to-access and limited-light situations, along with a set of VFX tricks to complete. Luckily I compiled a great team and had a blast putting this whole thing together. I’d love to continue off this and create a mini-series, but I’ll have to see where I want to take it. If you haven't already, go check it out! And next time you go for an adventure, ask yourself, should you trust your memory?
