Person: A Creative Exploration of Self-Expression through Art and Fashion
This photograph from series 1, titled "Stoner Girl," was taken from a lower angle to convey a sense of power and strength. The focus is on the character and her style while also highlighting the background in the composition.
This photograph from series 2, titled "Drunk Rich Bitch," was taken from a low angle to capture the alcohol in the foreground and the subject's lingerie. The image portrays the aftermath of a night out and the subject's disheveled state.
This photograph from series 2, titled "Drunk Rich Bitch," is my favorite in the series. The composition features the subject's room, with a vogue magazine adding to the aesthetic. The subject's posture is captured, while her face remains hidden from view.
This photograph from series 3, titled "Indie Lover Girl," perfectly captures the subject's vibe. The background includes plants, crystals, and a diary, while the subject's attire includes sunglasses, tarot cards in her pocket, and pants with painted flowers.
This photograph from series 3, titled "Indie Lover Girl," is my favorite in the series. The composition features an interesting angle with the shoe, pants, and shirt, while also highlighting the flower woman art on the wall. The image captures the subject's vibe, and the book "Touch of Darkness" covering her face adds a mysterious element to the photograph.
The primary objective of this exhibition is to showcase the culmination of my work throughout the semester in CMDP4900, my capstone class. Additionally, I aim to expand my portfolio and further my artistic practice. The exhibition will feature a diverse range of mediums, including art, photography, upcycling, painting, and my own clothing designs. The presentation will revolve around three distinct character personas: a punk stoner girl, a preppy party girl, and a lover indie girl. Each persona will be brought to life through a mini photo shoot, capturing their unique style and artwork in a "real-life" setting. The exhibition will feature a curated selection of photographs, hand-picked to complement the artwork and clothing on display for the Capstone Exhibition.
