Bygone

Bygone is a thirteen-minute narrative film set deep in the woods during the dead of winter. Shot over a week and a half, the film used a relatively small crew of only the Director Adler Shannon, Cinematographer Gabe Kawamura, and Sound Producer Sydney Lashmet. The actors, Roger Keeler III and Catie Conry, are Boulder Hip-Hop and RnB musicians who also have experience acting in various short films. The film itself was shot primarily in the mountains surrounding Nederland, Colorado, with some scenes being shot in Boulder, Colorado, as well as Caribou City, Colorado. The shooting conditions were often hectic, with winter advisory warnings and high wind warnings coming into effect multiple times during shooting. The project represents a challenging and ambitious step forward for its fully student filmmaker crew, using complex and unique filmmaking methods throughout.
