In this workshop, teachers and school and district leaders learn how to adapt, develop, and pilot assessments that elicit students’ integrated understanding of disciplinary core ideas, science and engineering practices, and crosscutting concepts. In addition, they learn strategies for eliciting students interests and discovering how students’ own identities can be leveraged in instruction.

This workshop focuses on building assessments aligned to NGSS perfomance expectations and is best suited for secondary science educators. 

At the conclusion of the workshop, the cohort of teachers will have a suite of assessments and  scoring guides that they can use in their classrooms and share with others.
