Starting Blocks is a three-day program designed to help scientists and engineers of all types find a market for their innovations. The core concept encourages inventors to get out of the lab and talk to industry decision-makers to find out what problem the industry needs their product to solve.

English Language Courses

International postdocs are invited to enroll in English communication courses (running February 7 – April 20) to improve their pronunciation and public speaking skills. If you are interested, please email International English Center director, Ruth Moore, at ruth.moore@colorado.edu for assistance registering.

Federal and Private Postdoc Funding

NSF's Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences Directorate is offering $80,000 fellowships to foster career development aligning with the Directorate's priorities; the deadline is January 10. The Burroughs Wellcome Fund will issue grants of $60,000 over three years to support careers of underrepresented minority postdocs; the deadline is January 18. Applications are due January 27 for the L’Oréal USA For Women in Science Fellowship, which honors female scientists with fellowships of $60,000 each.
