Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA)

The OPA is available for one-on-one career development consultations or other professional help either during drop-in hours (Wednesdays, 2 – 4 pm in Regent Administrative Center 340) or by appointment. Help via email or Skype is also available by request.

The OPA offers consultations on a number of topics including:

  • career planning
  • job applications
  • interviewing
  • grant and award applications
  • professional skill development
  • mentoring
  • professional difficulties

Career Services

Career Services offers drop-in hours for postdocs on Thursdays 1:30 – 3:00 pm with Alaina Nickerson. Postdocs can also make an appointment with a career counselor by calling 303-492-6541. The Career Services website includes a number of articles and resources for career development.


Employee Services

Employee Services offers a number of online and in-person career advancement and learning resources, including online trainings through SkillSoft and e-books through Books 24X7. A range of topics can be found in these programs by logging in to your MyCUInfo portal. Additionally, as a staff member, you have access to online learning for business, software and creative skills through lynda.com.
