PAC Boulder Accepting Travel Award Applications
The Postdoctoral Association of Colorado Boulder (PAC Boulder) is accepting applications from all postdoctoral researchers at CU Boulder, and the national laboratories associated with CU Boulder. The deadline to submit is September 21.
Based on feedback from the CU Boulder postdoc community, PAC Boulder provides travel awards to postdocs to attend conferences. The award is to assist with registration fees, lodging, airfare costs, and/or food. PAC Boulder will award (2) $200 awards to researchers for any conference occuring between October 2018 and February 2019.
The requirements are as follows:
- You must be a postdoc in CU Boulder or any of the associated national laboratories.
- You must be presenting at a conference.
- You must have proof that you will be presenting at the conference.
- You will submit a 200 word (max) layman's abstract. There are examples on the website. This criteria is highly ranked in judging the abstracts, as an important aspect in science is the ability to describe your science to any audience.
- Finally, you will submit a 200 word (max) explanation of how attending this conference will benefit your career.
The applications will be evaluated by a PAC Boulder committee, as well as two faculty members, to determine the recipients of the travel awards.
