Rabbi Simcha Paull Raphael, Ph.D. (1951-) is the Founding Director of the DA'AT Institute for Death Awareness, Advocacy and Training., an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Jewish Studies program of Temple University, and has a private practice as a transpersonal psychotherapist and spiritual director in Philadelphia, PA at the Mount Airy Counseling Center. Ordained by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi as a Rabbinic Pastor, Raphael has written extensively on death and afterlife and is the author of Jewish Views of the Afterlife.
