On Jan. 14, at approximately 3:55 p.m. the CU Boulder Police Department (“CUPD”) was notified of an unwanted sexual contact. The incident occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. outside the Economics Building just south of the Norlin Quad. The victim reported that as she was walking from the University Memorial Center area toward the University Hill neighborhood, she noticed that she was being followed by a male suspect. As she approached the Economics Building, the suspect grabbed the victim’s buttocks, embraced her and attempted to kiss her without her consent. After the victim fought off the suspect, he continued to follow her as she walked away from the area. The victim noticed that the suspect appeared to follow another female before running away toward the UMC area. CUPD officers searched the area and were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white college-aged male, approximately 5’5” to 5’7” tall, medium build, with a full red facial beard. He was wearing a green beanie, reading glasses, gray sweatshirt and tan pants.  CUPD is currently investigating the incident. Anyone with information regarding this crime is encouraged to contact CUPD at (303) 492-6666 and may do so anonymously here.
