  • OFFICE FOR PUBLIC AND COMMUNITY-ENGAGED SCHOLARSHIP

Ruojia Sun is a researcher at heart, with more than five years of experience in human-computer interaction research. Sun's research, spanning wearable devices and technologies for dance, has won Best Paper and Best Demo awards at the Designing Interactive Systems conference. She holds an M.S. in Creative Technology & Design from the University of Colorado Boulder, and an M.Eng. and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University.

At her core, Sun is committed to social change and community engagement, which was largely shaped by her participation in service-learning experiences focusing on issues of gender-based violence during her undergraduate studies. As the grants and data coordinator at the Office for Public and Community-Engaged Scholarship, Sun bridges her technical skills, her background in research and scholarship and her passion for making a meaningful impact by supporting engaged scholarship work at CU Boulder.
