Patrick Mueller

Patrick is the founding Artistic Director of Control Group Productions, a Denver-based performing arts organization. From this platform, he leads the creation of new works in an Expeditionary Art-Making model, intersecting immersive, place-making, and social engagement practices. He also directs Control Group’s Artist Services Program, supporting the work and careers of local artists. His research focuses on the boundaries and liminal spaces of human agency and resilience, with a current long-term focus on climate awareness, action, and justice.
Patrick grew up in Colorado and studied Dance and Performance Art at Pomona College (Claremont, CA). He earned an MFA in Dance at Hollins University / American Dance Festival. He lives three blocks from his childhood home in Lakewood with his wife Kristine and 7 year old son Levi.
