
Patrick Chandler is a recently graduated PhD in Environmental Studies at CU Boulder. During his studies, supported by the Office for Outreach and Engagement, Chandler co-developed Guidelines for Art + Science Partnerships with Emmanuelle Vital through interviews with nationwide experts.
Chandler’s research is focused on creating a framework for art/science integrated projects for communities and organizations interested in using innovative engagement tools to bring communities together and take action on environmental issues. Before entering graduate school, Chandler served as the education director for the Washed Ashore Project and still serves as a consultant for the organization. He has 10 years experience developing environmental education, stewardship, and science programs and previously served as the International Coastal Cleanup Coordinator for Alaska and the Special Programs Coordinator for the Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies.
