Marilyn Leuszler

Marilyn Leuszler has been a strong arts advocate and community activist for 50 years. She has developed and coordinated programs and projects for After-school Enrichment, Upward Bound, Partners, and Alternative High School students, while maintaining her studio and business. Leuszler has served on numerous nonprofit boards, as Executive Director and President of the Corazón de Trinidad Creative District, and is a member of the Trinidad Space to Create Commons Oversight Board. She is a certified Colorado Change Leader and was inducted into the Pueblo South High School Hall of Fame for her artistic and community work. Marilyn studied traditional Asian arts under Masters and Living National Treasures for ten years in Japan and holds a National Certificate of Proficiency in Japanese Brush Calligraphy. While living in Trinidad for the past 21 years, she has been deeply committed to the Creative District and Space to Create Trinidad programs. Art and travel have taken her around the world and after living in eleven US cities, three cities in Japan, Brussels, and now Trinidad, her passion is helping Trinidad grow in a thoughtful, environmentally sound way, while celebrating its history, authenticity, and many quirky attributes. She is always searching out new and interesting hobbies.
