CASE Artist • Multi-media visual artist

Hannah Taylor is a Colorado-based visual artist who articulates how human reliance on and impact within the natural world seeps beyond the built environment. She uses red thread to track attention, pulling this line of thought through different ecosystems, processes, relationships, and materials. She works in conversation with extreme weather patterns and invasive species. Her formal training in fine woodworking pairs with years of making alongside her mother and grandmother to ground her work in time, attention, and care. With each step, shaving, and stitch, her practices of recording and restoration magnify the reciprocity between human and landscape to immerse communities into their own environments. Hannah earned a BA in Studio Art and Psychology from Grinnell College.
