Jim Walker

Jim Walker is a retired entrepreneur with a widely varied background in business ownership and management. Upon graduation with a cum laude B.A. in political science from Vanderbilt University, he firmly planned to attend law school but when his chosen law school put him on a wait list, he channeled his frustration into a Florida Class A General Contractor's License and never looked back. 

Jim was active in residential construction and land development on the west coast of Florida for several years before becoming President of Metal Industries, Inc., a manufacturer of grilles, registers and diffusers for the HVAC industry and a major manufacturer of window screens and screen doors. The other major focus of Jim's business career was in the wholesale distribution of packaging materials which was an outgrowth of Metal Industries becoming self-sufficient in the production of all its corrugated cartons.
