Jeanne Segil

At KWIP, Jeanne works on active cases and leads KWIP’s policy and educational outreach initiatives. Prior to joining KWIP, she served as a Deputy State Public Defender in the Appellate Division of the Colorado Public Defender for five years. She won the Colorado State Public Defender system-wide Attorney of the Year Award in 2021. Jeanne served as adjunct faculty at Denver University for two years. She also worked at the Equal Justice Initiative in Montgomery, Alabama, as a law fellow and staff attorney, from 2014 until 2017. In her free time, she serves on the board of Focus Reentry in Boulder and volunteers with the Second Chance Center. Jeanne received her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2014 and her B.A. from Pomona College in 2009.
