Ombuds Day

Observed annually on the second Thursday of October, Ombuds Day recognizes the work of ombuds professionals and raises awareness of the support they provide to individuals and communities.

At CU Boulder, the Ombuds Office offers a confidential, impartial, independent, and informal space to discuss concerns, explore options, and navigate challenging situations. Whether someone is preparing for a difficult conversation, working through a conflict, or unsure where to turn, an ombuds can help them consider possible paths forward.

Ombuds also support the broader campus community by identifying recurring concerns and sharing insights that can improve university practices while protecting confidentiality.

Ombuds Day is an opportunity to learn about this resource and the role it plays in supporting constructive dialogue, fair processes, and a respectful campus community.
