Savannah Santana graduated from CU Boulder in May 2020 with her bachelor's degree in psychology as a first-generation student of Latin/Hispanic heritage. Her undergraduate involvement with various student groups like TRIO Student Support Services and Miramontes Arts & Sciences Program drives her passion for making the higher education experience as accessible as possible for historically marginalized students like herself. As a McNair Scholar, she carries research experience regarding dance and transculturalism, trauma-informed practices for at-risk youth, cultural responsiveness and mindfulness. She continues to elevate student voices as a mentor for the Renee Crown’s Mindful Campus Program. In her pursuit of social justice and equity, she enjoys giving students the resources and opportunities to navigate through their undergraduate career as happily, healthily and successfully as possible.
Savannah is from Lakewood, CO and enjoys singing, dancing and practicing mindfulness/meditation in her personal time.
