Currently at MetOcean Solutions, New Zealand (1/2021) ~~~ Brief Bio: Julie Jakoboski is a doctoral student in the MIT-WHOI Joint Program in Oceanography in Woods Hole, MA. Co-advised by Drs. Breck Owens (WHOI) and Kris Karnauskas, Julie is studying the circulation of the eastern equatorial Pacific Ocean using autonomous underwater gliders as well as numerical models through a grant from the NSF Physical Oceanography program. Julie joined the Joint Program after working for several years on a spaceborne scatterometer mission at NASA's Jet Propultion Laboratory (JPL) to measure winds over the ocean, and previously earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Physics from Bucknell University.
