Currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1/2021) ~~~ Brief Bio: Dr. Maroon is a CIRES Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow, working collaboratively across the labs of Profs. Jen Kay and Kris Karnauskas. Elizabeth joins CU upon completing her Ph.D. at the University of Washington with with Profs. Frierson and Battisti on the role of orography (e.g., mountains) on the ocean circulation, previously double-majoring in Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences (EAPS) and Physics at MIT. In Boulder, Elizabeth seeks to understand the interaction between the circulation of the Atlantic Ocean and global warming.
