Currently a AAAS Science, Technology, Policy Fellow placed with the National Science Foundation (6/2024) ~~~ Brief Bio: Dr. Carlos Martinez joined the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Fall 2021 as an Advanced Study Program (ASP) Postdoctoral Fellow, and close collaborator of the Oceans and Climate Lab. Carlos recently earned his Ph.D. from Columbia University's Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences (DEES), where his research investigated the Caribbean rainfall cycle. Carlos is an atmospheric scientist studying climate variability, dynamics, and change. His passion for the atmosphere and our planet stems from his faith and the desire to be a good steward of our Common Home. Click here for a more extensive bio.
