Amanda Bowden

Brief Bio: Amanda Bowden is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (ATOC), with a B.S. and M.S. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Georgia and Colorado State University, respectively. At CSU, Amanda conducted research on sea surface temperature changes and their effects on the Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) in a warming climate using CESM2 with Prof. Eric Maloney. Amanda's doctoral work at CU Boulder is supported by a prestigious fellowship from the U.S. Department of Energy. Amanda is a fierce Bulldog fan, and may take some time adjusting to the pace of Pac-12 football.
