After four years in the Navy I found my passion for health and human performance and came to Boulder to pursue my undergraduate degree.
My areas of interest are sleep and circadian science and how they influence cognitive functions. Specifically, my research has investigated the effects of sleep drive, sleep inertia, and circadian rhythms on vigilance performance over prolonged task engagement. I have presented my research at several McNair research conferences as well as received a Merit Award to present at the Society for Research on Biological Rhythms Biennial Conference in Puerto Rico. After I graduate I will be attending medical school in the Fall of 2025.
I was advised by Dr. Kenneth P. Wright in the Sleep and Chronobiology Lab, in the Department of Integrative Physiology at CU Boulder.
