Small Grants for Graduate Researchers

Eligibility: These small grants are open to active LALSC Graduate Research Cluster members (who have attended meetings during the 2019-2020 academic year). These grants should be used to support part of a current research project, conference travel or capacity building project that is related to the candidate’s dissertation research. Research Cluster Funding

The CU Latin American and Latinx Studies Center (LALSC) invites applications from groups of faculty, or faculty and graduate students for interdisciplinary Research Clusters that will be active during two consecutive semesters, Spring and Fall 2020, with the possibility of extension.
Proposals should be topically rooted in Latin America and Latinx studies. The 2019 funded research clusters topics are: The (Digital) Humanity of Portuguese Characters in Brazilian Literature, Mapping Relationality of Latinidad, and Indigenous Studies in the Americas: Narratives of Belonging and Land Reclamation.
Eligibility: Proposals should be initiated by University of Colorado Boulder graduate students or faculty from at least two different departments or programs, and should plan to meet throughout the year. The selected cluster(s) will be expected to do a digital or print publication and/or a workshop or one-day symposium open to LALSC community and beyond.
