I am a PhD student in Linguistics whose research focuses on language contact and multilingualism. My current projects involve the transfer of Quechua linguistic features to the Spanish spoken in the Andes of Peru. I am a huge fan of LALSC’s Quechua program, from our amazing instructor Doris to our events, like film series and Quechua game nights. I'm currently in Cusco, Peru, conducting fieldwork for my dissertation, but while I was in Boulder, I regularly attended LALSC's Graduate Cluster meetings, which are a great way to share ideas and get feedback on research while enjoying delicious food from local Latinx-owned restaurants.
