Meredith Church
I am a PhD student in Linguistics whose research focuses on language contact and multilingualism. My current projects involve the transfer of Quechua linguistic features to the Spanish spoken in the Andes of Peru. I am a huge fan of LALSC’s Quechua program, from our amazing instructor Doris to our events, like film series and Quechua game nights. As the Graduate Assistant for LALSC, I help coordinate the Graduate Cluster meetings, which are a great way to share ideas and get feedback on research. We also support local Latinx-owned restaurants by ordering delicious food at each meeting—hope to see you there!
