Jihane Ait Bella

Jihane Ait Bella is a Master’s student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Originally from Morocco, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles. She has worked in industry as a design and manufacturing engineer, gaining experience in engineering design, process improvement, and product development. She is now pursuing her Master’s degree at the University of Colorado Boulder. At the BEEM Lab, her research focuses on biodegradable printed electronics, specifically developing conductive polymer composite inks for pH-responsive sensing and environmental monitoring. Outside the lab, Jihane enjoys exploring Colorado’s beautiful nature, going for long walks with her dog Archie, playing guitar, and connecting science with creativity.
