Akhila Denduluri is a Postdoctoral Researcher developing printed and flexible electronic systems on biological substrates to create next-generation bio-hybrid conductive interfaces. Her work lies at the intersection of materials science, bioelectronics, and adaptive sensing technologies. Before coming to CU Boulder, she earned her PhD from the University of Cambridge, UK, where she focused on soft matter interfaces for biological and bioelectronic applications. At the BEEM lab, Akhila is advancing fabrication and integration techniques to engineer biocompatible, conductive materials for use in organ-on-chip systems and other bio-integrated sensing platforms. Outside the lab, Akhila enjoys traveling with her husband and toddler, exploring history, science, and space through podcasts, and engaging with topics around equity, diversity, entrepreneurship and inclusive innovation. She also practices Carnatic classical music and Indian classical dance.
