The Soft Matter Mechanics Lab is hosting the first Symposium on Active Matter this coming August 9-10th on the University of Colorado, Boulder campus! Topics span research related to active matter, including discussion and presentation of current research in bioinspired active material, biomechanics, and engineering of soft matter mechanical systems. Applications to present are now open. We seek a range of presentations with a diversity of content matter and presentation formats (talk, poster, display), and place emphasis on student presentation of research. Through this format, we seek to increase dialogue, collaborations, and research relevant to bioinspired active matter.
