- (They/Them)
- Undergraduate Research Assistant
- LINGUISTICS AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Kate is a senior double-majoring in Linguistics and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder, with minors in Global Engineering and Leadership Studies and a certificate in Cognitive Science. They are a Studio Lab program student for the 2024-2025 year. Research-wise, they are interested in multilingualism, how it works in the brain, and how it impacts the choices language users make when expressing themselves - but they find all sorts of language-related research fascinating and are looking forward to the knowledge they will gain through Studio Lab this year. At CU, Kate is also in the Global Engineering RAP, the BOLD Engineering Program, and the Multicultural Leadership Scholars Program. In their free time, they enjoy reading, knitting (and other crafting), tango, hiking, swimming, and learning languages.
