Matteo Poma
- Graduate Research Assistant
- Perovskites Team
- MATERIALS SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING
Matteo Poma graduated with a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Brown University in 2022. Advised by Prof. Nitin Padture, Matteo's undergraduate research focused on encapsulation of perovskite solar cells to prepare for in-orbit space testing of perovskites' self-healing abilities. In the semester before attending CU Boulder, Matteo was a full time research assistant in Prof. Yue Qi's computational research group at Brown, where his project focused on computational modelling of special quasi-random structures from ionic interdiffusion for a novel solid-state battery electrolyte.
Matteo joined the McGehee Group Perovskites Team in the summer of 2023. His current project focuses on improving the fracture toughness of organic ETLs.
Outside of the lab, Matteo is an avid skier and climber, enjoys just about anything outdoors, and loves to cook with friends.
