Lia Pazuelo, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, is a speech-language and hearing sciences researcher specializing in bilingualism, cognitive control, and aging. She joined the HEARD Lab as a Senior Older Adults Research Specialist. Dr. Pazuelo earned her Ph.D. from the CUNY Graduate Center and her M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from Kean University. Her prior research explores how bilingualism and individual differences influence cognitive control across the lifespan, with implications for healthy aging. She has applied behavioral assessment, mixed-method, and interdisciplinary approaches to investigate these questions. Dr. Pazuelo has presented her work internationally and published in peer-reviewed journals.
