Sascha Fowler

Sascha is currently a first-year at the University of Colorado Boulder pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. She is interested in exploring the intersections between air quality, human and environmental health, and pollution prevention/mitigation in vulnerable regions. Sascha received her BS in Integrated Design Engineering and BA in English from CU in 2025. Sascha has been with the HAQ Lab since 2023. Previously, she worked on projects such as the LAS VOCES project under Caroline Frischmon and Navajo Technical Institute educating on design and re-design of the lab's low-cost air quality monitors. Last year, she worked with the group's AQ-IQ program as a Course Assistant working with college students to educate rural schools about air quality. In her free time, she enjoys hiking around Colorado, exploring coffee shop and bookstores, and traveling.
