I grew up just outside of St. Louis, Missouri and received my bachelor’s degree in biology from Washington University in St. Louis. I discovered my love of research as an undergraduate research assistant during my four years at WashU, where I studied obesity in Drosophila and cardiac metabolism in mice. I moved to Boulder and joined the MCDB Ph.D. program in the fall of 2018, and the Brumbaugh lab in the spring of 2019. In my free time I enjoy hiking, reading, and playing lots of board games.
