Welcome to the Brumbaugh lab! We are interested in stem cell biology and cell fate change with an emphasis on epigenetic and post-transcriptional regulation.

Questions we pursue:

• How can we enhance the transition between cell types (e.g. reprogramming somatic cells to pluripotent stem cells)?
• What are the molecular mechanisms that restrict or facilitate cell fate transitions?
• What happens when these mechanisms go awry in both cancer and development?
