Saba Seyedi is a Postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Linden’s group. Saba’s work is centered on application of UV light technology in drinking water distribution systems for disinfection and control of biofilm development. She investigates the microbial responses after UV exposure, and the inactivation mechanism and molecular level impacts using different UV wavelengths. Saba earned her PhD in Environmental Engineering at Marquette University, where she worked on anaerobic digestion of aqueous liquid from wastewater solids pyrolysis and microbial community analysis of the digesters, as well as ozone oxidation of organics.
