My research interests are in geometric control theory, stochastic process, optimization, game theory and their applications in large-scale multi-agent systems. Our research group develops novel engineering methods and advanced mathematical tools for investigating networked systems. My recent research focus is on ensemble control and estimation theory, which is about using a single control input (and a single measurement output) to simultaneously steer a large population (in the limit, an infinite number) of individual dynamical systems. Applications of ensemble control and estimation include swarm of drones, micro-robotics, quantum systems, smart materials, social networks, and biological systems.
