The Campus IT Architecture Review Board (ARB) ensures that technical decisions made by campus IT service providers and project teams appropriately consider important contextual factors.

BFA Academic Technology & Services Committee

The Academic Technologies & Services Committee (ATSC) oversees the evaluation and enhancement of academic technologies and services to ensure they meet the institution's educational objectives.

CRM Strategy Steering Strategy Committee

The CRM Strategy Steering Committee is responsible for validating CRM projects against key value drivers such as goals, scope, and budget. It directs project teams to develop cross-functional CRM solutions and validates milestones. Additionally, the committee resolves issues and makes recommendations to functional leadership and executive governance.

CU Boulder Wireless Committee

The committee aims to establish a set of standards, policies, and procedures for wireless communication services and technologies on campus to optimize benefits for the university and its community.

Data Governance Committee

The Data Governance Committee recommends business practices for data governance that span data steward areas ensuring these align with university strategic objectives. CU Boulder Data Governance is one of the six core committees that comprise campus-wide IT Governance.

Data Governance Program

The Data Governance program focuses on the comprehensive management of a vast array of data, ranging from student and employee information to research and financial records, ensuring it is accessible, accurate, and well-integrated across campus systems. In collaboration with the CU System data governance program, it seeks to standardize data definitions, policies, and procedures across all four campuses to support the university's core mission. 

Learner Lifecycle CRM Program

Learner Lifecycle Constituent Relationship Management is a strategic and comprehensive approach to manage and enhance the entire lifecycle of a learner’s experience, from initial contact to graduation and beyond. It is an extension of Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) principles, customized to the unique needs and dynamics of the educational sector. It includes a strategy, a technology-driven approach, processes and tools to build and nurture relations with all relevant stakeholders.

IT Security Program

CU Boulder's IT Security Program is dedicated to the safeguarding of CU's systems and information through the enablement of secure design grounded in policy and procedure, operational review and response to changes in our IT environment, and training for a cyber-smart community. Our goal is to create and support a campus community where all members understand the important role they play, with all these services supporting the maintenance of our resilient, risk-conscious posture.

Public Cloud Program

CU Boulder's Public Cloud program ensures seamless access to public cloud foundational services, optimal service alignment with university needs, and adherence to data governance standards. 

Research Security Program 

CU Boulder's Research Cybersecurity Program is an integral part of the campus's information security initiative, providing specialized support to researchers in securing their data and systems through training, resources, consulting, and assessment services. It navigates the complex landscape of compliance requirements from various governing bodies, while also building partnerships within the industry to enhance the security measures for research endeavors.

This community of practice’s role will include: 

  • Identifying campus resources
  • Determining policy and best practices
  • Establishing campus guidelines and policy in the disciplines of research, teaching, learning and operations.

IT Community of Practice

The CU Boulder IT Community of Practice (ITCP) is a group for CU Boulder IT practitioners. The ITCP provides opportunities to: 

  • Connect, network and dialogue with other IT practitioners. 
  • Ask questions, raise concerns, and gather feedback. 
  • Collaborate on and brainstorm solutions. 
  • Share knowledge, best practices, and process improvement techniques. 
  • Learn and provide feedback about upcoming IT initiatives and changes. 

IT Director Forum

The IT Director Forum serves as a nexus for IT Directors to collaborate and ensure that our IT infrastructure is not only robust and secure but also agile and responsive to the evolving demands of our campus.
