Industry & Foundation Relations

Andrew Chiacchierini joined CU Boulder’s Industry & Foundation Relations team in 2018. Andrew’s 15 years in higher education advancement includes stops at the University of Utah, the University of Denver, the University of Chicago and Loyola University Chicago. During his five years managing the organizational giving at the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School for International Studies, he oversaw over $10 million in awards—a tenfold increase over the previous five-year period. At the University of Chicago, he worked on a Corporate and Foundation Relations team that brought in upwards of $100 million annually.

Andrew earned a BA in English and Philosophy from the University of Richmond and a MA in the Humanities from the University of Chicago where he studied early modern English literature and wrote a thesis on Paradise Lost. Andrew enjoys backcountry skiing, ultra-running, gardening, camping and spending as much time as he can outdoors—both in Boulder and the Fraser Valley—with his partner Brooke and their three dogs, Snowy, Junior and Lily.

At CU Boulder, Andrew develops campus-wide strategy for foundations interested in fundamental science research, manages CU’s relationships with those funders and collaborates with faculty to secure support for their research projects.
