Rapid Prototyping Lab

This lab has what you need for all of your rapid prototyping needs.  With various tiers of 3D printing and a laser cutter, you have all the tools you need to rapidly iterate your prototypes. See detailed information about our fabrication equipment below.

 

Prusa MK4 3D printer

Prusa MK4 3D Printers

No workshop needed.  To print, you can either bring in your own material and print your parts yourself (we are happy to help!), or you can submit a Fabrication Request and we'll print it for you at cost.

Bambu a1 printer

Bambu A1 Printer

  • 10 in. x 10 in. x 10 in. (WxDxH) print bed

No workshop needed.  To print, you can either bring in your own material and print your parts yourself (please see Rapid Prototyping staff for tips and tricks on this printer!), or you can submit a Fabrication Request and we'll print it for you at cost.

  • 14.7 in. x 14.7 in. x 14.7 (WxDxH) print bed

Markforged 3D printer

Markforged 3D Printers (X7 and Onyx)

  • FDM
  • High resolution
  • High strength applications

To print, submit a Fabrication Request. 
All material is supplied by Idea Forge and parts are printed at cost.

Formlabs form 4 3d printer

Formlabs 3, 3B, and 4 3D Printers

  • SLA
  • Good surface resolution
  • Comparable to injection molded parts
  • Brittle
  • 3B able to print with biocompatible materials

To print, submit a Fabrication Request.

Fuse1+

Formlabs Fuse 1+ Printer

  • SLS
  • Nylon 12
  • Great at organic shapes

Epilog Laser Cutter

  • Cut designs into most plastics/wood
  • Etch in metal/wood/plastic

Laser Cutter is guided service - bring in your own material, and we'll help you use it.
